Thrift Shopping

Hahas i don't actually have the pictures for thrift shopping today,
but it's quite a good experience.
Especially when you really just, let your mind go and just
have the patience to look through the clothes to see what's nice for you.

There was a turnabout of events today, and Vera ended taggin along with me
cuz like if she goes home her grandma would be pissed LOL.
I must say, having company makes it much less lonely and definitely a more
fruitful experience?
IT's a first for me but i definitely enjoyed my trip, even if
i felt disappointed or what.
We only visited 2 thrift stores due to the time constraint,
but i hope to be able to visit more in the future.
There were adults and maybe like a teen or two looking through the items as well,
but mostly they were adults.
And they're all really good natured!
Like from what i observed of course.

I like NEW2U, the Thrift Shop under the Singapore Council Of Women's Organisations ( i hope it's correct) better than i liked the Salvation Army at Woodleigh.
One, it seems more maintained.
Two, it's definitely more welcoming.
Three, it's better organised.
The salvation Army at Woodleigh lacked these 3 qualities.
Even though they had more items that you can choose from,
the place was generally run down.
The ceilings looked like they were about to drop any second looked like they could drop on you now.
It wasn't maintained, the items weren't like really placed very neatly.
I mean like it's organised, but it's not to the point where it's very nice looking,
like welcoming.

And there's definitely a lot of dust, cuz the items don't look clean.
Even if it's been worn before, i think people can tell the difference lah.
And the people at NEW2U were really welcoming i'd say.
There's just a lil bit of that positivity in it.
At the Salvation Army, i just feel............unwelcomed?

But nevertheless it's a good experience in both shops.

And now i'm contemplating if i should visit the one in Aljunied tomorrow before heading
towards PP ;))
