Stage Fright;
Hands clammy,
cheeks flushed.
Eyes wandering,
soul searching.
Left to right, right to left.
Calling out, yet holding back.
"Don't burden people."
Silence prevails,
speech becomes secret.
Lights turn on,
limbs tremble.
Mouth quiver, heart races.
It's time to go, out of this haven.
Where darkness is comfort
in its slumber, but death in its consciousness.
It's not safe,
it's not dangerous either.
For what lies over,
is a reflection of someone.
Anyone, better than who
sleeps inside the darkness.
So let's do this.
